* Provides for moral/spiritual/educational development * Teaches and counsels youth on appropriate skills and behaviors * Teaches youth independent living skills and self-care habits. * Serves as a role model for youth by exhibiting skills taught in program. * In providing treatment for the youth, implements and assists with the design of individual and group treatment plans effectively. Assists with relevant record keeping and behavioral tracking procedures. Supports the treatment team fostering youth development when utilizing special medical or psychological services. * Provides and fosters loving, caring, and safe environment * Budget management * Maintains and prepares records * Acts as a liaison for consumers, outside agencies, and internal personnel * Serves as a role model in carrying out Youth Care Inc.’s mission REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB: 1. Must meet competency in pre-service training and complete 15 hours of in-service training annually. 2. Ability and desire to work and live with youth and young adults. 3. At least 21 years of age. 4. High School diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred. 5. Valid driver’s license with good driving record. 6. Perceived ability to implement all phases of the Teaching Family Model; including all treatment and administrative functions. 7.
