Special Faculty Position: Lecturer in Department of Music: Violin/Viola
Eastern Washington University and the College of Arts & Letters invite applications for a special faculty position in the Department of Music beginning January 2010. Screening for this position will begin immediately and will continue until filled. Position is contingent upon availability of funding.

Requirements: Bachelors degree in Music required. Masters preferred. Experience as an artist-level violinist with professional performing/teaching background. Special consideration will be given to applicants with secondary strengths in music education, chamber music, and/or conducting. Teaching responsibilities will be drawn from the following: applied instruction in violin and viola; string pedagogy and techniques; coaching chamber music; secondary areas as appropriate. Applicant is expected to be an active performer on and off campus as a soloist, chamber musician, and/or symphony musician. Candidates will be expected to work closely with the orchestra program and to actively recruit for graduate and undergraduate music programs. Active involvement in departmental matters is expected.
